The story of Aisha Siddika Primary and Higher Secondary School began in 2006 with a heartfelt vision to secure the future of Jogwad Village's children through quality education. The journey was initiated by Marhum Ahmad I. Patel, who had returned to Jogwad from the UK. One morning after Namaz-e-Fajr, he met with Mol. Umar Hasanji Patel, Mol. Abdulhamid Mulla, and Mahmadali Hashim Aswat. Concerned about the lack of educational opportunities for the children in the village, he proposed the establishment of a private school.
Recognizing the importance of this initiative, they entrusted Mahmadali Hashim Aswat (M.Sc. Chemistry) with the responsibility to lead and manage the project. Ahmad I. Patel emphasized that no significant external funding should be expected but assured his full support, along with the moral backing of the other leaders.
The initial operations of the school were set up at the Old Sunni Muslim Jamat House (Balwadi/Nursery) in Fulat Street. Mr. Aswat worked tirelessly to prepare all the necessary legal documents and secure approval from the Gandhinagar GSEB Board. Despite facing numerous challenges and setbacks, his perseverance paid off, and the school was granted official permission.
On 6th June 2007, the first academic session commenced with 41 students, 3 teachers, and two classes (Std-1 and Std-2). This remarkable effort was led by: Ahmad I. Patel (Leicester, UK), Mahmad Hashim Makda (Jogwad), Mol. Ikbal Yusuf Patel (Leicester, UK), Abubakar I. Mulla (Walsall, UK).
The establishment and expansion of the school were made possible through the generous contributions of dedicated individuals. Sadik Nazir Patel donated land for the Primary Section, while Ahmed Ismail Patel provided the necessary funds for acquiring land for the Secondary Section. These contributions played a crucial role in realizing the vision of Aisha Siddika Primary and Higher Secondary School.
For the first three years, from 6th June 2007 to 13th October 2010, the school operated at Balwadi for students up to Std-4.
This humble beginning, fueled by a shared vision and unwavering dedication, laid the foundation for what Aisha Siddika Primary and Higher Secondary School has become today—a beacon of quality education for future generations in Jogwad and the surrounding villages.
After founding Jogwad, all residents were living in Patel Moholla built the Jumma Masjid.
