A Beacon of Islamic Education for Girls in Jogwad Village.
Darul Uloom Jamiyah Aisha Siddika Banat is a prominent Islamic educational institution dedicated to the academic and spiritual growth of Muslim girls. Established in 1986 by Haji Hasam Fakir Patel, the institution began as a small Madresa for the girls of Jogwad Village. Over the years, it has expanded its reach to include students from nearby villages, surrounding areas, and even abroad. This growth reflects the increasing demand for quality Islamic education and the institution's commitment to empowering young girls with knowledge, values, and life skills rooted in Islamic principles.
The Madresa offers a comprehensive curriculum that includes Diniyat, Alima courses, Maslah Masail, Hadis, and basic mathematics, all taught in both Urdu and Arabic. The institution’s educational approach not only focuses on religious studies but also aims to develop well-rounded individuals who can contribute positively to their communities and society at large.
From its humble beginnings in the house of Janab Shabbir Bhai Patel, Banat Madresa has grown into a well-established institution with a dedicated management team and a strong network of teachers and students. The Madresa’s hostel facilities have made it possible for girls from outside Jogwad to benefit from the high-quality education offered. The new building, which was inaugurated in 1993, has further expanded the Madresa’s capacity to accommodate an increasing number of students.
Today, Darul Uloom Jamiyah Aisha Siddika Banat stands as a beacon of Islamic education, offering students from various backgrounds the opportunity to study and learn under the guidance of experienced and qualified teachers. The institution remains focused on its core mission: to provide girls with a strong foundation in Islamic teachings and values, preparing them to lead meaningful and productive lives guided by their faith.
Darul Uloom Jamiyah Aisha Siddika Banat follows the beliefs of Ahle Sunnat wal Jamaat, adheres to the Hanafi school of thought, and aligns with the disposition of Darul Uloom Deoband. Its philosophy and practices reflect the teachings of Hujjat-ul-Islam Hazrat Maulana Mohammed Qasim Nanotvi (Rahmatullahi Alaih), Imam Rabbani Maulana Rashid Ahmad Gangohi (Rahmatullahi Alaih), and Hakeem-ul-Ummah Maulana Ashraf Ali Thanvi (Rahmatullahi Alaih).

Darul Uloom Jamiyah Aisha Siddika Banat, an esteemed Islamic educational institution for girls, was founded in 1986 by Haji Hasam Fakir Patel, who was the brother of Ismail Bhai Patel, also known as Vakharwala. The Madresa was initially established in the empty house of Janab Shabbir Bhai Patel, located on Patel Street, next to Mustq Bhai Patel's house, near the Old Medical of Jogwad. At its inception, the institution was intended solely for the girls of Jogwad Village, providing them with a space for Islamic education and character development. The female teachers of Banat lived in the house on the right side, where Bushra Aapa lives right now.
In its early years, the Madresa primarily focused on the local girls of Jogwad. However, the nearby villagers, recognizing the value of Islamic education, requested to send their daughters to the Madresa. The management, understanding the need for broader access to education, approved the request, allowing girls from outside Jogwad to join. This expansion led to the construction of a new building, with a hostel to accommodate the increasing number of students. The foundation of this new building was laid in 1992, and the construction was supervised by Janab Shabbir Bhai Patel, who played a significant role in the development of the institution.
In April 1993, the new building of Banat Madresa was inaugurated, marking a significant milestone in its history. The inauguration ceremony was attended by prominent religious scholars, including Hazrat Maulana Abdullah Sahab Kapodrawi, the Principal of Darul Uloom Falahe Darien from 1966 to 1992, Hazrat Maulana Saiyyid Abrar Ahmed Dhulyawi R.A., the Former Shaikhul Hadis of Darul Uloom Falahe Darien-Tarkesar, and Hadrat Aqdas Mufti Ahmed Khanpuri, the Head Mufti of Jameah Islamiyah Talimuddin Dabhel. These scholars, along with other distinguished Ulama, blessed the new building and the educational journey of the institution.
After the inauguration of the new building, the Madresa flourished under the leadership of Molana Yusuf Mayat from Surkhay, who took over as the Mohtamin (Head of the Madresa). He served in this capacity from 1993 until December 2024, overseeing the institution's growth and ensuring the continuation of its educational mission.
Shabbir Bhai Patel, who was deeply involved in the management of the Banat, played a key role in its operations from 1998 to 2022. His tireless efforts and dedication to the institution were instrumental in its development and success over the years.
Today, Darul Uloom Jamiyah Aisha Siddika Banat stands as a beacon of Islamic education for girls, offering a wide range of courses, including Diniyat, Alima courses, Maslah Masail, Hadis, and basic mathematics. The medium of instruction includes Urdu and Arabic, reflecting the Madresa’s commitment to teaching both religious and academic subjects in a comprehensive manner. The Madresa’s core mission is to equip young girls with Islamic values, Shariyah law, and knowledge that will empower them to live righteous lives and contribute positively to society.
