I am Aezaz Desai from Jogwad, writing this blog with immense happiness and pride. On the night of 5th February 2026, our village witnessed not just a volleyball tournament, but a beautiful display of unity, discipline, and brotherhood. Under the night lights, with cheers echoing across Makda Street, Jogwad came alive with sportsmanship and positive energy.

Tournament Details

• Event: Night Volleyball (Paplu) Tournament
• Date: Thursday, 5 February 2026
• Venue: Volleyball Ground behind Makda Street, Jogwad
• Teams: 4 Intra-Village Teams (Jogwad) with a few players from Chitali Village

Community Dinner

After Maghrib, dinner was arranged for around 80 people, fully sponsored by our generous sponsors. The meal was prepared with dedication by Arif Desai. Sitting together, sharing food, and discussing the matches added warmth and brotherhood to the night.

Match Highlights

The first five matches were played on the opening night, each played up to 21 points. As the teams were named after their respective sponsors, these sponsor names were used as team identities. Due to long rallies and highly competitive gameplay, the grand final was scheduled for the following day.

• Match 2: Team Soyeb Pathan (21) vs Team Gulam Desai (15) — Team Soyeb Pathan won
• Match 3 (Between Winning Teams): Team Soyeb Pathan (21) vs Team Sufiyan Patel (13) — Team Soyeb Pathan won
• Match 4 (Between Losing Teams): Team Gulam Pathan (21) vs Team Gulam Desai (20) — Team Gulam Pathan won
• Match 5: Team Sufiyan Patel (18) vs Team Gulam Pathan (21) — Team Gulam Pathan won

Grand Final – 6 February 2026

The final match was held the next night at 9:30 PM between Gulam Pathan and Soyeb Pathan. It was a best-of-three sets match, with each set played up to 15 points. Gulam Pathan’s team won the first two sets convincingly and lifted the championship trophy amid loud cheers and applause.
