By Aezaz Desai (India) Assalamu Alaikum everyone! I am writing this post with a heart overflowing with joy, pride, and emotion. Even though I was sitting far away in India, my heart was present in Leicester that day. When I heard that our Jogwad-walas in the UK were gathering after more than 20 years, I felt excitement I cannot fully describe. Seeing our people reconnect, smile, embrace, and pray together — this is the real meaning of "Jogwad Family." To ensure every detail was correctly shared, I personally requested Mol. Rizwan Iqbal Patel (UK) to send me the full report. This article contains everything he shared with me and everything shown in the official event poster. Alhamdulillah, more than 150 brothers connected to Jogwad came together on a cold winter afternoon in Leicester. This was the first large Jogwad gathering in the UK in more than 20 years, and it truly felt like history being made. From senior elders to young children, people traveled from various cities — London, Blackburn, Batley, Leicester, and beyond — all for one purpose: to rekindle the brotherhood of Jogwad for the sake of Allah (SWT). The hall echoed with warm greetings, emotional reunions, and words like: The program began with the calming recitation of the Qur'an. Hafiz Muhammad Tariq Mulla recited verses 47–60 of Surah Ad-Dhariyat, filling the hall with serenity. Qari Khalil Aswat recited the nazam: "Ae Khuda ke akhri paigambar, tujh par salaam." — a deeply moving moment for everyone. Qari Hanif Makda reminded attendees that the purpose of this event was solely for Allah (SWT). Haji Ismail Mulla, one of the most senior Jogwad elders in the UK, reminded everyone that Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.) also migrated and left his homeland — a message that touched many hearts. Maulana Abu Bakr Mulla spoke about the importance of staying connected with our roots and ancestral land to understand our identity, and requested everyone to stay in touch with Jogwad and Jogwad-walas in the UK. He concluded with a heartfelt dua for all attendees and Muslims worldwide. Hafiz Abdul Aziz Mulla hosted the programme masterfully, appreciating the sacrifices attendees made. He praised the previous generation for planting seeds of education and social development that continue to bear fruit, and he made a commitment to hold this gathering annually, Insha'Allah, in the summer months. After the programme, guests enjoyed a delicious, traditional meal prepared by Maulana Iqbal Patel (Owner of Moghul Express, Leicester). Mash'Allah, many young guests diligently and selflessly served the food; may Allah (SWT) accept their khidmah (service). After lunch, the gathering enjoyed a tempting spread of sweets, savories, and homemade delicacies kindly prepared by our sisters and mothers. Guests enjoyed these treats with hot masala tea and falooda while sharing stories and memories. The attendees performed Asr Salah, continued to mingle and network, and later performed Maghrib Salah led by Qari Khalil. The guests left the venue around 5:00 PM, feeling joyous and reconnected with Jogwad. Alhamdulillah. Feedback from the guests was overwhelmingly positive and encouraging. Many said the event was amazing and it was great to see so many faces. Attendees praised the food and suggested the next gathering should include families with arrangements for children. The gathering would not have been possible without the attention and duas from all those connected with Jogwad. This gathering was a success because of the dedication and duas of countless people, including: May Allah reward them all abundantly. Ameen. Special thanks to the brothers who shared photos and videos so that I could witness the event from India: We ask Allah (SWT) to accept this gathering, strengthen unity and love among all Jogwad-walas, forgive any shortcomings, and make this brotherhood last for generations. Ameen. — Aezaz Desai
